Notice regarding the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act
(used batteries)
INFORMATION ON THE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ACT (ElektroG)
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) contains numerous requirements for handling electrical and electronic equipment. The most important ones are summarized here.
1. Separate collection and disposal of old devices
Electrical and electronic equipment, including monitors, LEDs, clocks, temperature and information displays, and communication technology, is classified as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) for disposal purposes. Owners of WEEE are required to dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. WEEE does not belong in household waste, but rather in special collection and return systems.
2. Batteries and rechargeable batteries
Owners of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must, as a rule, remove any batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed within the WEEE before handing it over to a collection point. This does not apply if the WEEE is handed over to public waste disposal authorities and separated there from other WEEE for the purpose of preparing it for reuse.
3. Technical lighting products of all types
The German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) mandates the recycling of technical lighting fixtures (e.g., from advertising displays, offices, street lighting, etc.). This includes, among others, fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, and discharge lamps (including high-pressure and low-pressure sodium vapor lamps, as well as metal halide lamps and LED lamps).
4. Free return options
The aforementioned 1-3 electrical and electronic devices will be taken back free of charge and handed over to recognized public waste disposal companies for recycling. For example, the legally recognized take-back system: https://www.grs-batterien.de: Stiftung Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Batterien (GRS) (Foundation for a Joint Battery Take-Back System). Further collection points can be found here: https://www.ear-system.de/ear-verzeichnis/battgruecknahmesysteme#no-back.
You can return the old appliances you purchased from us to us postage paid. We will then take care of the proper disposal.
4. Data Protection Notice
Old devices often contain sensitive personal data. This is especially true for information and communication technology devices such as computers and smartphones. For your own protection, please note that each end user is responsible for deleting the data on the old devices to be disposed of.
5. Meaning of the symbol “crossed-out trash can”
The symbol of a crossed-out trash can, which is regularly depicted on electrical and electronic equipment
points out that the respective device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
The crossed-out trash can symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass
Used batteries may contain pollutants or heavy metals that can harm the environment and human health. Batteries are recycled; they contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese, and nickel. Vehicle and appliance batteries must be marked with a visible, legible, and indelible capacity indication.
6. Manufacturer/Distributor Registration Number
As a distributor within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), Dino-Cars Evers GmbH is registered with the responsible foundation for the Register of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register) (Nordostpark 72, 90411 Nuremberg) under the following registration number: ID???
7. Information obligations pursuant to Section 18 Paragraph 2 Sentence 3 of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (annual status of nationwide compliance with the quantitative targets pursuant to Section 10 (3) and Section 22 (1) of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act):
